Then what?

The last three books I've read have been so captivating that I actually feel sorry for the next book... Then again, this stomach flu I've been suffering from has left me unable to do anything else but read and watch TV shows. Oh, and it has also given me the interesting opportunity to find out what it's like to vomit through one's nose. Not recommended, by the way.

Anyway, the books I've read are Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (which makes me want to read all the books he's ever written, but unfortunately I only own this one). Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay (which is also a true page-turner). The final book, If On A Winter's Night a Traveller by Italo Calvino I haven't actually finished yet. I have a few pages left, but I don't know what to do with myself once I finish it. Which book should I read next?? None of the books on my shelves can possibly compare or captivate me like this one has!

If On A Winter's Night A Traveller is the kind of book that has me thinking about... well, about books. About my habits of reading. Because that's what the book is about. Like one of the characters I read several books at the same time: I have one book for the different parts of the day, to read in the different parts of the house, and to read in the different places outside the house (like at work, or on the bus). And then one person at the end of the book says that the best kinds of books are the books that makes your mind wander. I need to quote that part later. It's so good, and it's so representative of how I feel and how my mind works that it's almost scary reading it.

I'll just go actually finish the book now...

Oooooh, i want to read Jules Verne now! And "If on a Winter's (...)". I'm reading Milan Kundera's Immortality now, which is one of those books which gives you a different perspective on things.

I'm not reading anything that smart but the last two books I read were both so captivating that I always had to force myself to stop reading! ;) (one of them being "If you ever tell", the one Angie gave me for xmas!) So, I understand your "problem" ;)
